Established in 2019, The Rose Collective is a production company with a focus on film and theatre work by minorities, migrants and other underrepresented groups.
We specially see great and reflective potential in stories brought from outside of the canon or Western world. The type of work that we produce aims to be impactful, innovative, engaging, educational, challenging, thought-provoking, and that explores modern issues from around the world.
We work so that our productions serve to educate people in issues affecting minorities, locally and globally. We want to diminish the impact of discrimination and other negative practices on underrepresented people so we can foster strong and resilient people that work together to transform their own communities.
We prioritize collaborative work with different minority groups, people of the global majority, international artists, migrants, amongst other groups. We work with an objective, fair, respectful, and cooperative mindset, also aiming to reflect openness, honesty, and professionalism.
Here are some of the things we aim to work towards:
We want to create thought-provoking and engaging work that allow our audiences to learn about local and global issues, and see the world through a variety of lenses.
Share stories that validate experiences from minorities, migrants and other underrepresented groups.
Inspire generations of people by seeing themselves being represented on stage and on screen.
Facilitate opportunities, spaces, and offer career progression to artists who are part of underrepresented groups.
Provide tools and create platforms for artists to share their stories and experiences, and in the best quality possible.
Mentor artists and groups in order to develop their artistic skills and/or give opportunities to learn from experienced creatives. We specialize in filmmaking, marketing for theatre and film, design and production for theatre and film.
Connect and expand our circle of influence by collaborating with other art companies or artists both locally and internationally.
The Rose Collective aims for a team that is diverse. We believe this will take us closer to our goals by bringing new perspectives, as well as fresh new ideas.
Create meaningful relationships with artists from different backgrounds.
In no specific order. Our values are linked to our work, the people we collaborate with, our audiences and our community.
